and the winners are...
Last fall, we ran a contest for works that answered the question, "Freight, what are you carrying?" Over the past few months, we've had the privilege of reading poetry, fiction, essays, and looking at images that explore all the different types of freight we carry with us through life. You voted and now we know that the winning works are:
- Poetry: "The Universe in My Mop Bucket" by William Krill
- Prose: "Eighteen" by Dorothee Lang
- Photography: "Recycling in Zhengzhou" by Elizabeth Switaj
- Visual Art: "Shaken" by Ruth Schiffmann
The writers of the winning works will receive a signed copy of Mel Bosworth's novel, FREIGHT, currently scheduled for a September 2011 release.
If you would like a copy of the FREIGHT Collective as soon as it is available, please email editors [at] foldedword [dot] com with the subject line "freight" and let us know if you would prefer it delivered as pdf, mobi, or epub file format.
